How long does it take to port my number?

Number Ports

• The length of time it takes a Number Port to complete depends on when the previous carrier approves the port request. It can take up to 48 hours, however it usually takes anywhere between 10 minutes to 2 hours.
• Once the Number Port is approved and completed, you will receive a text to reboot your device to complete the number change. 
• The line will automatically be removed/cancelled from the previous carrier's account, so no further action is needed with the old carrier. 

Will there be any downtime while my port is in progress?

You can continue using your old carrier until the number completely ports over. The moment your existing line stops working then that's the indication that the port went through successfully. Now's the time to insert your new sim into your device (if activated on physical SIM) and power cycle your device.
