What To Expect During Your First Carrier Bill After Activation
So you've reserved your slot and your line has been active for the month. Congratulations! What can you expect to receive on your first bill? For this example, say you activated on November 10th. Your bill will look similar below.
- Carrier Activation Fee
- Carriers often charge an activation fee that ranges from $30-$35. This is a one time fee that carriers charge to onboard your account. In the event that the carrier waives the fee then you will NOT be charged the activation fee.
- Carrier Partial Month Charges
-
Prorated charges are partial month charges based on the date your SIM was activated.
Example: Billing cycle is November 18 - December 17.
If your SIM card was activated on November 10th, your prorated charges would be from November 10th to November 17.
-
- Carrier Next Month Charges
- This is the charges for the next month of service.
- Carrier Taxes and Surcharges
- Carriers charges taxes and surcharges that often fluctuate by a few cents each month. This is a carrier charge and not a CircledIn charge. The taxes and surcharges are inflated on the first bill since it includes the taxes and surcharges on the activation cost, partial cost, and next month cost. After your first bill, you can expect your Taxes and Surcharges to be around $2-$3 a month. Note: T-Mobile Taxes and Fees are already included in the price so you won't see this on your bill.
- CircledIn Service Fee
- The service fee is applied to each bill and helps us provide support, cover payment processing fees, etc. You can expect this to be around $1-$2 each month.
